Drug Bust Uncovers Pompano Storage Unit Filled With 36 Guns, Drugs and Cash

Broward County Sheriff's deputies have confiscated 36 guns, cash and drugs from a local storage unit.

Authorities say 46-year-old Scott Fernandez was arrested Wednesday for selling drugs out of his home. The investigation led authorities to an Xtra Space Storage unit in Pompano Beach, where they found 400 grams of cocaine, bags of marijuana, stashes of pills, cash and dozens of guns.

WSVN news reports that officials confiscated $21,600 from the unit.

An investigation involving Fernandez began two months ago. Drug K-9 unit Sunny helped lead officers to the storage unit.

Fernandez faces charges for trafficking cocaine and Oxycontin. He also faces several drug possession charges, including possession of over 20 grams of marijuana, and possession of Xanax, morphine, flakka, Endocet and methadone.

One other person was arrested, but police didn’t release their name.
