This Could "Bee" a Problem: MIA Flight Delayed Because of Bees

A flight departing from Miami International Airport was delayed for hours due to a swarm of bees Monday.

An American Airlines passenger flight headed to New York City called a beekeeper to get rid of a swarm that was found on one of the wings.

Passengers and crew members were escorted off of the aircraft while the extermination took place. Once the aircraft was bee free, crew members and passengers returned to the jet.

The flight finally took off four hours after its scheduled departure, at 5:18 p.m.
