Hurricane Season 2017 Could Be An Active One

We're just a few months away from the start of hurricane season and meteorologists have an idea of what we could expect.

It may be a busy hurricane season this year.  The Weather Channel's Mark Thibodeau says we're coming off a weak La Nina pattern.

"I would expect this hurricane season is going to be a little more active than usual with potentially four to five storms reaching major hurricane status and potentially up to maybe 10 to 11 hurricanes," said Weather Channel Meteorologist Mark Thibodeau.

He says all of those storms may not make landfall in South Florida, but he still advises people to make sure they're prepared in case they do.
