Chelsea Clinton Writes Children's Book, Featuring Hillary But Not Bill???

Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton has revealed what she has been doing with her time since trying to help her mother's run for the White House.

Clinton has written a children's book, with a sharply worded title. The book--called ``She Persisted'' and coming out May 30th--will honor 13 American women ``who never take no for an answer,'' including Harriet Tubman, Sonia Sotomayor and Oprah Winfrey.

The publisher, Penguin Young Readers, announced Thursday that ``She Persisted'' will also feature a ``special'' and unidentified cameo, presumably Clinton's mother, Hillary Clinton. The book will be illustrated by Alexandra Boiger.

The title is taken from what Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said last month when silencing Senator Elizabeth Warren as she was criticizing the nomination of Jeff Sessions for attorney general. McConnell used a little-known rule about criticizing fellow senators on the floor to stop her and said: "She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted." The phrase has since become a rallying cry for some feminists.

Meanwhile, a report from TMZ is raising new speculation about Hillary and her next possible candidacy. Talk of Clinton running for Mayor of New York fizzled months ago but TMZ now quotes a source saying that she openly considered a run during a recent gathering.  As for Chelsea's own potential political future, TheHill.com says the younger Clinton's spokesperson is denying chatter that she might run for office.

Personally, I would be very interested in her trying to pull off a children's book about her old man.
