Broward Humane Society's Walk for the Animals Set for Saturday!

Are you ready for a tail-waggin' good time? The Broward Humane Society's Walk for the Animals will take place Saturday, March 18.

This year marks the 27th annual Walk for the Animals, an event to raise awareness and funds for animals that have yet to find a "forever home" and the facilities that care for them.

The Humane Society of Broward County provides shelter, aid and responsible adoptions to the animals in their care. They also work to educate the community on respect and kindness toward animals.

The walk will take place at Huizenga Plaza in Downtown fort Lauderdale (23 East Las Olas Blvd.) on Saturday. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.

So far, 2,182 participants are registered to walk and efforts have raised more than $500K. Interested parties can register beforehand, here.

Dogs are welcome at the event with their canine companions.
