Brrrr! When Will This Chilly South Florida Weather End?

Brrrr! Have you broken out the boots and sweaters yet? A late season blast of chilly weather had Miami waking up to a cool 52 degrees at 7 a.m. Thursday.

Although the average low temperature this time of year in South Florida is around 62 degrees, National Weather Service forecasters say temperatures will struggle to reach the mid-70s later in the afternoon.

Temps are expected to reach back into the 80s by Sunday, the same temperatures that we were basking in at the beginning of this week.

But first, South Floridians will face another chilly night in the 50s Thursday.

In Key West, the temperature dipped to 59 early Thursday. The cold front dipped temperatures in central Florida into the 40s.
