LOL: Seth Meyers on Trump's Wiretapping, Healthcare Lies

"Late Night" host Seth Meyers took a stab at dissecting the GOP's proposed healthcare bill Monday night.

Meyers had no reservations on making it clear that he didn't like what he saw. He even pointed out how many GOP party members are, themselves, skeptical about the bill that would replace Obamacare. This comes after a report Monday that stated up to 24 million people would lose insurance under the GOP replacement.

"One thing that's become clear over the past week is that lying is now such a central feature of the Trump Administration that many in D.C. just take it for granted," stated Meyers. "But there's one issue where Trump's lies could have very real consequences for millions of people, and that's healthcare."

He also talked about the fact that Trump's reps. are now having to jump through hoops to go along with his outlandish claims (cough, cough Kellyanne Conway). And before we go, let's just take a minute to appreciate Twitter's reaction to Conway's claim about "microwaves that turn into cameras."

Now... getting back to healthcare. Republicans won't be able to escape the consequences when it comes to Trump's lies surrounding the GOP's proposed American Health Care Act. As a candidate, Trump promised a revamped healthcare plan that would cover everyone. As president, he's discovered that things aren't quite so simple.

Republicansā€™ resistance has led Trump to invite Congress members to the White House for a bowling and pizza party, Meyers said.

ā€œThatā€™s right, Trump is trying to sway members of Congress with an 8-year-oldā€™s birthday party. Also good news, Steve Bannon has agreed to be a terrifying clown,ā€ he said, referring to the White House chief strategist. Check out the full segment here:

Meyers closes out the segment with a clip of Trump saying something along the lines of "I don't know why Obama/Obamacare is suddenly so popular". Meyers responds by saying "it's YOU, dude!"
