UCF Frat Suspended for Alleged Gun-to-Head

A University of Central Florida fraternity is suspended after a member allegedly held the barrel of a gun to the head of a blindfolded pledge.

An anonymous student allegedly emailed the university's police department on Feb. 9 about an Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity brother who "took out a rifle and racked it" as blindfolded pledges lay on the floor.

The email says that one of the pledges made a comment about the gun not being real.

The newspaper reports that the student who alerted authorities appears to be in the same fraternity and heard about the incident secondhand.

Police forwarded the email to the school, which suspended the fraternity. They may continue to hold chapter meetings with school staff monitoring. An investigation continues.
