Federal Officer Guilty in Broward Sexting Case

A United States Secret Service officer plead guilty Wednesday to attempting to lure a Broward County girl into sexual activity.

Lee Robert Moore, 38, was fired in 2014 after investigators say he sexted underage girls while on duty at the White House. Moore also pleaded guilty to related charges of attempting to produce and receive child pornography. In September, he originally pleaded not guilty.

In 2014, Moore began sending texts and messages to a 16-year-old Broward County girl. He sent photographs of his genitals to the girl, as well as other non-explicit photographs.

The girl also was persuaded to send him naked photographs of herself.

In January, Moore plead guilty to another charge of sending lewd photos to an undercover detective who he believed was a 14-year-old girl from Delaware. More chatted on social media applications Meet24 and Kik with someone he thought was a teen, but was actually a State Police detective with the Delaware Child Predator Task Force while on duty at the White House.

Moore agreed to plead guilty for those charges in January so that he could be transferred to federal court in Florida to be tried for the Broward County incident.
