Miami-Dade County, FL - Residents of the Redland community in Miami-Dade County are increasingly concerned about the unauthorized operation of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) on public roads.

Community members report that ATV riders frequently violate traffic laws by weaving through traffic, running red lights, and driving on sidewalks and private property.

These actions have heightened fears of potential accidents or fatalities.

Several residents, wishing to remain anonymous due to fear of retaliation, have shared videos depicting ATVs speeding past cars and maneuvering dangerously on major roads.

According to Florida law, specifically Section 316.2123, ATVs are prohibited on public roads or streets.

They may only be operated during daylight hours on unpaved roadways with posted speed limits under 35 miles per hour.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office has confirmed that these restrictions apply countywide.

Despite these regulations, residents observe a lack of enforcement.

Multiple individuals have shared videos showing ATVs operating on main roads and within neighborhoods.

One resident noted witnessing riders lose control, resulting in collisions with fences or signs and damage to grassy areas.

The community has observed a noticeable increase in ATV use on paved roads over the past decade.

The community continues to advocate for stricter enforcement of existing laws to ensure the safety of all residents and road users.
