Miami Gardens, FL - A Miami Gardens man has been arrested on an attempted murder charge following a brutal assault involving a baseball bat outside a local Pizza Hut.

According to authorities, police report that the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday outside the Pizza Hut located at 19960 NW Second Ave., situated within a shopping plaza.

The arrest affidavit indicates that Dinishers Hannah III, 40, who is homeless and known to the victim as "Draco," allegedly approached another man while carrying a baseball bat and inquired, "What's so funny?"

Subsequently, Hannah is accused of attacking the victim with the bat, delivering blows to the head, back, and legs, and threatening, "I am going to kill you if you do not leave."

Following the assault, authorities allege that Hannah returned to a nearby homeless encampment and handed the bat to another individual.

Police apprehended Hannah on Friday behind the same Pizza Hut.

At the time of his arrest, he was out on felony bond for multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a felon.

Statements allegedly made by Hannah were redacted from the arrest report.
