The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in the murder of a corrections deputy.
32-year old Kevin Bennette is accused of ambushing and shooting to death Deputy Basil Powell as he arrived at his home in Belle Glade on Monday night.
Sheriff's Officials say Powell was assigned to the West Corrections Center but that the shooting was not related to his job.
They have not released details on a motive.
