Drivers in Boynton Beach are being warned about a new red light camera just installed in the city.

It's located at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Miner Road to monitor traffic headed north and southbound along Congress.

Today will be used as a warning period for those caught running that light, but starting tomorrow red light violators will face fines of $158 dollars.

Boynton Beach is the only municipality in Palm Beach County currently using red light cameras to fine violators.

Police say those violations are considered civil so they don't impact your driving record or add points to your license.
