LOOK: Sunshine State Snow Sets New Record

This week's storm is one for the record books. Governor Ron DeSantis announced yesterday the state got a new snowfall record when Milton in Santa Rosa County recorded more than eight inches. That more than doubles the previous state record that was set over 70 years ago. Thousands of residents are still without power with most of the outages in Wakulla County.

Melting and refreezing, creating slick spots, is the concern for the next few mornings as temps drop below freezing.

Many in Florida are trying to make the most of the rare snowfall, including the state's First Family. Governor Ron DeSantis, his wife, Casey and their children were captured in photos enjoying this winter wonderland.
