More than 70 dogs have been rescued from arctic conditions in Texas and the wildfires in California by Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee.

CEO Lauree Simmons says volunteers traveled across the country in a bus to Palm Springs Animal Rescue in California to rescue close to 50 pets and on the way home they stopped in Texas, where they rescued another 30 dogs from the freezing arctic cold front.

The adult dogs and puppies will undergo health examinations and treatment before being put up for adoption.
