Racing enthusiasts are filled with hope after word that the Palm Beach International Raceway near Jupiter is back on the market.
A developer purchased the property in 2021 and the final race was run there a year later.
The developer planned to build a warehouse complex on the nearly 175 acre property, which upset people who wanted to keep the land operating as a racing site like it had been since it first opened in 1964. There were even attempts to get enough supporters together to purchase the property but those failed.
Those efforts could start up again with the raceway for sale again. Many of those same enthusiasts have recently been trying to get a track open near the 20-mile bend in western Palm Beach County.
