Senator Marco Rubio appears for his first Secretary of State confirmation hearing this morning before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Cuba expert Dr. Andy Gomez expects Rubio to sail through as "Chief Diplomat". Rubio has been in the Senate since 2010, serving on the Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees. No word yet on who will replace him when he resigns. Attorney General Ashley Moody is rumored to be on the short list of potential appointees.
