Hollywood, FL - A 29-year-old Oklahoma woman faces child neglect charges after allegedly leaving her infant unattended at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.

The incident occurred on Christmas Eve when the baby was found alone in a stroller near the casino's Old Main Entrance, wearing a soiled diaper.

According to the Seminole Police Department, the infant was left unattended for approximately 30 minutes before officers arrived.

A bell desk employee reported that three unidentified men had left the baby and walked away.

Authorities later located the mother, identified as Rubi Verduzco from Bethany, Oklahoma, who appeared to be under the influence and was unable to recall her child's age.

Upon contacting the child's father in Oklahoma, he advised police to arrest Verduzco and place the child in state custody.

Verduzco was arrested and charged with child neglect.

The Florida Department of Children and Families has taken custody of the infant.

Verduzco was held at the Broward County Jail.
