A West Palm Beach veteran has a new home makeover thanks to a TV show.
"Military Makeover" spent the past week and a half at the home of retired U.S. Army Specialist Christy LaVallee and revealed their work to her yesterday.
Show host Montel Williams tells CBS 12 News that he is honored to support her.
"She's the first female Purple Heart recipient that we've had on the show. A veteran who truly, truly, truly epitomizes what we think about when we think about those warfighters."
LaVallee was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained while deployed in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011.
The Lifetime series will premier her episode early next year.
