Ashley Moody was on the Treasure Coast today.

The state's attorney general announced the latest member of the 100 Percent Club is Port St. Lucie, which was established in 2022 to crack down on human trafficking.

"This is the first municipality in the state of Florida to join the 100 Percent Club."

Most of the members of the club are businesses that have pledged to train 100 percent of their employees on how to spot and effectively report suspected human trafficking.

"Port St. Lucie is the safest largest city because you have decided as a city that safety, protecting one another, is going to be one of your priorities as you govern together, your city."

Moody says she's hopeful that other cities around the state will follow suit.

"So being the first city in the state to become part of the 100 Percent Club, I think that's going to set a challenge out for every other city in the state...over 400 municipalities here in the state of Florida...time for them to get on board and join the club."

She says you can report anything suspicious to Crime Stoppers anonymously by by dialing **TIPS on your cell phone from anywhere in the state.
