The illegal immigrant accused of killing Georgia nursing student Laken Riley has been found guilty and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The prosecution claimed on February 22nd, Jose Ibarra went hunting for women on the University of Georgia campus and encountered Riley on her morning run. Ibarra waived his right to a jury trial, leaving his fate up to the judge.
The case drew national attention and was a focus of the presidential election.
