Miami-Dade, FL - Donald Trump has secured a decisive 11.5-point lead in Miami-Dade County, marking a significant Republican shift in the historically Democratic stronghold.
With 95% of the expected vote tallied, Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris by a substantial 11.5-point margin.
As of 2:58 AM ET on November 6th, Trump has secured 604,657 votes, accounting for 55.2% of the vote, while Harris trails with 478,716 votes, or 43.7%.
Miami-Dade County, a majority Latino district, has been a Democratic stronghold for decades.
While Florida swung for Trump in both 2016 and 2020, the county voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and President Joe Biden in 2020, who won the district by 7 points.
However, in the 2022 gubernatorial race, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis won Miami-Dade by 11 points, a reversal from his 2018 campaign when the district overwhelmingly opposed him.
Former President Trump declared victory in the presidential election during a speech at the West Palm Beach Convention Center at around 2:30 a.m., following projections of his Electoral College and popular vote wins.
