Orlando, FL - A former Disney employee has been arrested and charged with hacking into the company's systems to manipulate menus.

The suspect, who was fired last June, allegedly targeted the company's menu creation program, causing significant disruptions and potential safety risks.

The former employee's actions could have had serious consequences, as incorrect allergen information could have led to severe allergic reactions among customers.

Disney was forced to take its menu system offline for over a week to address the issue.

An FBI investigation revealed that the suspect had the necessary access and knowledge to carry out the attacks.

In a motion seeking his release, the suspect's attorney said that his client had struggled with mental health issues since childhood and was currently seeing a psychiatrist.

“He is not receiving any mental health counseling or treatment in jail,” the attorney said in the motion.

Disney estimates the hacking cost the company approximately $150,000.
