Riley, a Basketball Hall of Famer and the Heat's president, expressed his gratitude to his wife, Chris, and the entire organization for this special honor.
"This is beyond even my imagination of a reward for a man's life's work," Riley said. "We are huge dreamers and Micky has made mine. It wasn't something I wanted or pursued, but I'm going to take it."
He reflected on his 30-year journey with the Heat, during which he led the team to multiple championships and established a winning culture.
