Claudia Navarro: Championing Workers’ Rights in South Florida

Miami, FL – Claudia Navarro, Co-Executive Director at WeCount!, a South Dade-based worker’s center, is making significant strides in advocating for domestic workers, day laborers, and agricultural workers. Navarro’s efforts include building a robust membership base, developing worker leaders, and spearheading policy campaigns for labor, migrant, and climate justice.

A Miami native of Mexican and Nicaraguan descent, Navarro graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s in Women and Gender Studies in 2018 and a second Bachelor’s in Economics in 2021. In addition to her role at WeCount!, she also serves as the Co-Executive Director of WEPA, WeCount!'s new 501©(4) sister organization, which focuses on empowering working-class Latinos in South Florida through electoral engagement.
