Tampa Airport Releases Artwork Of Future Airside D

TAMPA -- The Hillsborough Aviation Authority has released updated renderings of the future Airside D.

Tampa International Airport's first new airside in almost 20 years is set to take place later this year.

The airside, when finished, will have two levels and 16 gates. Officials say the airside will help to handle some 35 million passengers a year expected by 2037.

Airside D will be located between the current Airside E and the control tower, and should be completed by 2028. An airline anchor will be announced later this year.
