Former President Trump will give a speech tonight at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and officially accept his party's nomination for President.

South Florida Republican Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar told Brian Mudd that America will see a different Donald Trump, after an assassination attempt on him Saturday.

"I'm telling you that Trump, after what happened, he had an a-ha moment and he is a different man. Everybody is telling me, specifically this very close source."

Salazar, a self-described born-again-Christian, says a friend who is very close with the former president believes that Trump knows God is giving him a second opportunity to change up his tactics with regards to attacking ideas instead of people.

She says Trump is "a completely different person" and you can see it in his face.

Salazar has attended several other Republican conventions, including during her time as a TV news reporter, and says this one feels different because the party is, in her words "highly united."
