Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will receive Secret Service protection after months of resistance from the Biden administration.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said President Biden has directed him to provide Kennedy protection after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

In fact, Trump demanded that Biden provide secret service protection for Kennedy on Truth Social calling it the “right thing to do.”

“In light of what is going on in the world today, I believe it is imperative that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receive Secret Service protection — immediately!” the 78-year-old former president wrote on Truth Social. “Given the history of the Kennedy Family, this is the obvious right thing to do!” he added.

RFK Junior's father and uncle JFK were both assassinated. He was nine years old when his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in 1963, and 14 when his father was assassinated while running for president in 1968.
