Resilience Workers Being Trained To Help Floridians This Hurricane Season

Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su launching a new program to train one-thousand resilience workers for the 2024 hurricane season. Su says the feds are giving one-million-dollars to help train post-disaster reconstruction workers. The program is designed to meet a growing need in Florida, with all of the flooding, to keep families safe in their homes. Graduates will be awarded certifications as "climate resilience technicians" and will get help with job placement.
