CLEARWATER -- A Palm Harbor woman is facing DUI charges after police say her car slammed into the back of a Clearwater police officer's cruiser early Monday.
Police say a car driven by 43-year-old Jaime Fox clipped the left rear of a patrol car that had its emergency lights on in the westbound lanes of the Courtney Campbell Causeway just before 12:30 this morning. The officer was assisting the driver of a broken-down car, and ended up getting treated and released from Mease Countryside Hospital.
Fox is charged with DUI and DUI involving property damage. Police say the crash also highlights the need to heed Florida's Move Over Law.
