Actor George Clooney reportedly called White House to defend his wife, Amal, who is an international attorney was involved in an ICC case against Israel.

Clooney reportedly called one of President’s Biden’s top aides last month to complain about the president’s critique of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

He's concerned about his wife facing sanctions after President Biden criticized the arrest warrants against Israeli leaders.

Amal Clooney determined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu committed war crimes, but the US Congress passed the Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act which basically says, "the United States does not recognize the legitimacy or jurisdiction of the ICC."

House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell announced that Netanyahu will address a joint meeting of Congress on July 24.

"I am very moved to have the privilege of representing Israel before both Houses of Congress and to present the truth about our just war against those who seek to destroy us to the representatives of the American people and the entire world,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
