A homeless man wearing only a ladies shirt crashed into the front doors of the lobby to the Martin County Jail last night.

Chief Deputy John Budensiek shares details of the bizarre incident.

"He was disrobed other than wearing a ladies top. He threw two rubber snakes and multiple cell phones into the lobby and started pouring motor oil all over his vehicle and then the floor where he was, threatening to light the car, himself on fire."

Budensiek says 40-year old Joe Leedy also told deputies that the devil told him to kill "as many people as possible" and shared his disdain for former President Trump.

"He was emphatic that he hated Donald Trump. He did not make direct threats to him but he just talked about his hatred for former President Donald Trump."

The chief deputy says the man needed to be tased in order to be taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was also sedated because he was "extremely amped up," so Leedy was taken to the hospital and has since been released. He is now back in the same jail.

He's facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and could face more charges pending the investigation.
