Two Lakeland police officers seen on video punching a teenage boy.

The officers called to a pool at an apartment complex on Memorial Day after someone reported people were there who didn't live at he complex.

After the 16yo didn’t provide them with an apartment number nor identify himself, police verbally trespassed him from the property.

Police say the teen put his hand in the officer’s face, but that was not captured on video. What was is the teen pressed up against a wall as an officer punches him in the head repeatedly. At one point, the second officer grabs his hair while the other continues punching him in the head.

Then, as second officer is punching him, the other deploys a Taser, knocking the teen to the ground.

The teen was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation before being transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.

Lakeland Police Chief Sammy Taylor requested an administrative review.
