Governor Ron DeSantis Guest Hosts Sean Hannity Show in Miami

Governor Ron DeSantis says more states should emulate Florida if Republicans want to seize power from Democrats.

Guest-hosting the Sean Hannity Show from the WIOD studios in Miami for three hours, Wednesday, he listed reasons that included the anti-woke movement, ending education indoctrination, promoting parental rights, enforcing the rule of law, and wrestling power and influence away from Democrats.

"When you go after their grip on power they lash out," he said. "They flight back hard and that's what they've done to us in Florida."

The Governor said the "militant left" has increased its influence dramatically over the past 20 years.

"They control the universities, they control the federal bureaucracy and administrative state, they control big tech and we've seen that with the censorship," he said.

But DeSantis pointed to Republican victories that turned Florida into a red state. When he was elected governor, DeSantis said there were 300,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans in Florida.

"Today...we have over 900,000 more registered Republicans than Democrats," he said. "So, you're talking about a 1,200,000, voter shift in 5-1/2 years [and] that is simply unprecedented in the modern Republican Party."

DeSantis credited the Republican Party for protecting people against, "the militant left which threatens the United States as we know it."

Among his guests during the show were Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Lapado.

As for the November presidential election, DeSantis made a bold prediction.

"Trump has Florida. It's a done deal," he said. "Biden has no chance in this state."
