The Big Bend and Panhandle should be aware of a tornado threat this morning. The National Weather Service has a Tornado Watch in effect until 1p.m. It includes 17 counties, including Leon and Bay. The NWS forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms today, including some that could be severe.
Meanwhile, schools are closed today in Leon, Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Taylor and Wakulla counties.
