Tuesday is the final day of open enrollment in the Florida Prepaid College program.
Families with young children are being encouraged to lock in their college savings now, with prepaid plan prices at their lowest levels in 10 years.
The price reductions, up to 25 percent, are primarily due to years of lower than anticipated tuition and fee increases at Florida colleges and universities.
Prices start at just $34 a month for a one-year university plan for a newborn.
Florida Prepaid also reminds current customers who have purchased plans in 2008 or later that there are $140 million in refunds available due to the reduced prices. 45,000 account holders still have money available to them.
