Feds Take Over Probe Of Carjacking And Murder

The FBI, DEA and several other federal agencies are now handling the investigation of a Homestead woman's abduction and murder in Seminole County.

U-S Attorney Roger Handberg says four suspects were arrested soon after the April 11th armed carjacking of 31-year-old Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas was caught on another motorist's dash-camera video.

Jordanish Torres-Garcia, Kevin Ocasio Justiniano, Giovany Joel Crespo-Hernandez, and Monica Romero-Soto are charged and linked to the case.

Federal authorities indicate the investigation goes beyond the carjacking and murder, and likely involves drug trafficking.

Handberg said the victim was shot several times and her body was found in her burning SUV in Osceola County.

He says more arrests are a possibility.

Investigators are also looking into the murder of a tow truck driver that may be linked to this case.
