Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is investigating two separate incidents of vehicles crashing into buildings over the weekend. Both happened on Saturday.
The first one was in Lake Worth Beach where a vehicle struck an apartment along 12th Avenue after 10 a.m.
Five people were in the unit at the time but nobody was injured. However, they were trapped in the apartment for a time until firefighters were able to safely remove them.
Two people were taken to the hospital, one as a trauma alert.
The second crash was a two-vehicle wreck that happened later in the day, after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Forest Hill Boulevard and Mayop Road.
One of the vehicles went off the roadway and into a house. Two people were taken to the hospital for an evaluation . No one was inside the house.
