South Florida is not in the path of totality for the first solar eclipse since 2017, but you may still be able to see a partial solar eclipse in the metro Miami area around 3 o'clock this afternoon. Marjory Stoneman Douglas Astronomy teacher Kyle Jeter says don't forget the eclipse glasses if you're going to try to catch a glimpse. The Frost Science Center and Belen Jesuit Preparatory School are both hosting watch parties. The next solar eclipse is scheduled for 2044.
