Former President Trump wants his classified documents case to be thrown out, citing presidential immunity.

His attorneys filed court papers late Thursday in the federal case that surrounds documents found at Mar-a-Lago.

His lawyers claim he is immune from prosecution on 32 of the 40 charges because of his "alleged decision to designate records as personal under the Presidential Records Act" and to "cause the records to be moved from the White House" to his Palm Beach home.

Trump has pleaded not guilty.

The trial is scheduled to being in May, though it's unclear whether that will happen due to the other cases against him.
