In an effort dubbed "Stop the Invasion," Governor Ron DeSantis announced today from Jacksonville that he is deploying up to a thousand Florida National and State Guard members to the Southern Border.

DeSantis says he is fortifying our presence on the border by sending one battalion from the Florida National Guard as well as the first ever deployment of the Florida State Guard. In addition, he is sending members of the Florida Highway Patrol and Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission to help Texas secure the border.

DeSantis says Florida has also banned local governments from issuing ID cards to illegal migrants and condemned the deadly flow of fentanyl over the southern border.

Desantis blamed President Biden for the massive influx of criminal migrants and deadly fentanyl.

"Biden has the authority to close this border today if he wanted to. He lacks the will to get the job done," proclaimed DeSantis.
