The third annual My Hollywood Pride Street Festival kicking off tomorrow with the Pride 100 Brunch and flag raising ceremony ahead of Sunday's street fair. Scott Galvin, Executive Director of Safe Schools Florida, says this marks the first Pride event of 2024 anywhere in the world, since most are held in June. He says the goal is to advance justice and equality for the LGBTQ+ community in Florida where members are dealing with the effects of new state laws they claim crack down on their rights. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will host the opening ceremony.
