The Broward School Board voting five-to-three to conduct surveys before taking a vote on mandatory uniforms for all students K-through-Twelve. Vice Chair Debbie Hixon says she's not sure if she's for or against the possible mandate yet. Board member Dan Foganholi says uniforms would improve safety, security and the school climate but opponents say this reduces individuality. Many worry the costs of the uniforms would be too high as well.
