Kenneth Bonawitz,58, of Pompano Beach has been sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of assaulting at least six officers during the January 6th Capitol riot. Bonawitz, a member of the Proud Boys, will spend the next five years behind bars and will need to pay two-thousand dollars in restitution and fines before spending three years on supervised release.
He arrived to DC ready for violence, carrying an 8-inch hunting knife and was a leader in breaking onto the Capitol grounds, according to the State Department.
