The National Weather Service has confirmed two tornadoes touched down on the Treasure Coast during storms late Monday afternoon.
Drivers along I-95 were brought to a stop and caught video of one funnel cloud moving through mile marker 107, continuing toward Palm City, then North River Shores.
Another tornado started near Becker Road and I-95, in St. Lucie County about a half hour later.
The National Weather Service now says the first tornado was an EF-0 with winds from 65 mph to 75 mph.
Storm damage was reported by residents of the Canopy Creek community in Palm City.
The wood framing of a home under construction collapsed and one resident lost their pool screen, which was ripped and damaged. Also, one resident says his barbecue grill was sent into the air and a neighbor told him a trampoline was also sent airborne.
