Paul Kerouac has filed a lawsuit against a Dunkin’ Donuts located on Aloma Avenue in Winter Park, alleging that he experienced an explosive incident in the store's restroom around January 6, 2022.
According to court documents, Kerouac claims that a toilet malfunctioned, resulting in an explosion that left him covered in waste.
Upon exiting the restroom, he sought assistance from employees who acknowledged prior issues with the toilet.
The lawsuit asserts that Kerouac has endured mental health challenges and long-term injuries due to the incident.
He is pursuing damages exceeding $50,000, citing negligence on the part of Dunkin’ Donuts for inadequate maintenance and lack of warning.
