Carnival Worker Charged After Stabbing Incident at Santa's Enchanted Forest

Miami-Dade, FL - A 32-year-old carnival worker has been arrested on aggravated battery charges after he stabbed a man with a box cutter at Santa's Enchanted Forest in Medley.

According to reports, Nicholas Joe Moore, a carnival worker from Meridian, Mississippi, was arrested by Medley police following the stabbing that occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

According to law enforcement officials, Moore approached a man in a confrontational manner while both were waiting in a food line at the holiday venue's commissary.

The situation escalated quickly, resulting in a physical altercation where Moore used a red Milwaukee box cutter to stab the victim.

Witnesses intervened to separate the two individuals after the victim raised an alarm about the stabbing.

Moore provided his account of events, alleging that the victim initiated the fight while he was waiting in line with his girlfriend.

He claimed he resorted to using the box cutter only after feeling threatened by the victim's actions.

Additionally, Moore mentioned an unrelated individual brandishing a gold firearm during the altercation, prompting both parties to halt their confrontation.

While the exact cause of the dispute remains undisclosed, authorities determined Moore as the primary aggressor.

Consequently, he faces a second-degree felony charge for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Moore remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, with a bond set at $10,000.
