A criminal charge has been dropped against an administrator at a South Florida high school.
Assistant Principal Daniel Snider at Palm Beach Central High had been charged, along with four others, with failing to report an alleged sexual assault.
Friends of a 15-year old girl at the school told Snider and others about the claims and state law requires that school employees alert the authorities.
Snider's defense team filed a motion to dismiss back in August, claiming he is not covered by the mandatory reporting statute because the juvenile accused in the incident is his son.
While Snider was successful, prosecutors are appealing the judge's decision.
Principal Darren Edgecomb, assistant principal Nereyda Garcia, chorus teacher Scott Houchins and school behavioral therapist Priscilla Carter are all waiting for their day in court.
