(Ocala, FL) -- Multiple people are injured after a shooting at a Florida mall. The Ocala Police Department responded to the shopping mall on Saturday afternoon after reports of shots fired. Officers say the situation is no longer active and the suspect is believed to have fled the scene. The mall is being evacuated and people are being told to avoid the area.
According to an eyewitness, at least one person has died another was injured when a gunman opened fire this afternoon at a mall in Ocala, Florida.
The eyewitness, the publisher of the Ocala Gazette newspaper, says that at least eight shots were fired inside the Kay Jewelers at the Paddock Mall, about eighty miles northwest of Orlando.
