A cancelled press conference between Georgia's head coach Kirby Smart and FSU coach Mike Norvell is raising the specter that the two teams may not play the Orange Bowl in Miami Gardens

Any boycott would be in protest of undefeated FSU's snub in the College Playoff National Championship.

The University of Florida has also elected not to play a bowl game in honor of FSU being left out of the CFP.

There is no official confirmation that the Orange Bowl will be boycotted, but a cancellation would be costly for South Florida.

"It is estimated that Orange Bowl events generated $127 million in new direct spending, $224 million in total new economic output, $4.9 million in new taxes and supported approximately 2,400 new full and part-time jobs that generated $81.4 million in personal earning," according to an economic impact study.

By the way, FSU's injured quarterback Jordan Travis came in fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
